I did not think I could feel this anxious, waiting for a reply from Lillithe. The Queen has assured me that Lillithe will be granted the opportunity. It does not make sense to worry over the possibility of her coming.
Perhaps the anxiety concerns how long it has been since we have last seen each other. So much can change in three years. Her appearance, certainly. Her manners, perhaps. We have been writing frequently, of course, as sisters as well as a councilor reporting to the head of House she represents, so at least I can be assured her personality is as I remember it.
I will be glad to see her, of course. For so long she has been my only kin, the only woman who shared my blood. She matters to me. And ... and it matters to me that she loves my daughter as much as I do.
